I Believe You Are The
Expert On Your Own Life.
My Approach
I use an integrative style, which is a professional way of saying that I’ll tailor all our sessions to your needs in the moment. My goal is to support you in making your own decisions, so I will be direct — but I’m not in this business to tell you what to do. I trust you know yourself and your circumstances best.
Through deep listening, we’ll be able to create a space where you’re able to navigate the narratives of your life, and discern for yourself what resonates and what no longer fits. When you can shed old ideas to embrace the version of yourself you most want to be, you become the ultimate arbiter of your story. A more confident and empowered individual.
It seems to me that the best conversations flow out of mutual respect and and informality that allows for laughing, crying, and cursing along the way. I enjoy developing a personal rapport in every session, and I make it a point to bring my authentic self to our weekly meetings. I hope you will, too.
“Humor can get in under the door while seriousness is still fumbling at the handle.”

About Dr. Dan
I came to the profession of psychology after following many different career paths. (Loading package cars at UPS, cleaning pig pens, making coffee, selling clothes, and so on.) In every job I held, it was the relationships that mattered most to me. Along the way, I built a skill for listening to the message underneath what the person in front of me was saying. Oftentimes this message communicated pain or fear alongside hope for their circumstances to improve.
And our circumstances can always improve. All it takes is a little honesty, awareness of how we got here, and a willingness to experiment with alternatives. It often begins with one supportive relationship.
