Insurance

In order to provide the best quality of care to the widest number of people, I don’t take insurance. You are welcome to pay out of pocket, or contact your insurance company to discuss reimbursement for out-of-network coverage. Please keep in mind that different insurance plans may have different reimbursement rates for counseling services. It is also possible that some insurance plans will not provide any reimbursement for out-of-network providers.

Upon request, I can also provide a Superbill to share with your insurance company for possible out-of-network coverage.

Payment

All major credit cards are accepted as forms of payment.

Since therapy is a medical service, HSA cards can also be used to fund treatment.

A credit or debit card is required to be kept on file to hold appointments

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please notify Dr. O’Donnell at  least 24 business hours in advance; otherwise a cancellation fee equal to the full session rate will be charged.  Missed sessions are charged the full session rate.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call the Colorado Division of Insurance at 303-894-7490 or 1-800-930-3745.
